Plant: bulbous perennial acclimated to Mediterranean climate with summer dormancy.

Origin: southern Africa

Flowers
: fragrant, large, pink trumpets on 18-24" "naked" stalks in late summer

Foliage: strap like leaves ~18” emerge in late autumn; fade in late spring

Culture
: full sun; well drained soils; dry during summer dormancy; best for containers in northern gardens where they can be treated as bright light houseplants while actively growing in winter; rarely bothered by pests or diseases.
