Flowers: 1-12 " globes contain scores of indiviual flowers from late spring and summer. Bloom lasts for serveral weeks

Foliage: grass-like to strap-like

Culture: sunny location in average soil. Good addition to herb gardens. Large alliums combine well with hostas. Some varieties are shade tolerant, like the three-cornered leek.
