Flowers
: green spathe and spadix above leaf. Emerges late in spring. Berries begin to form in mid summer. When berries ripen, the stalk wilts and requires support to remain upright.

Foliage: deeply lobed, palmate leaves. Usually only solitary leaf, but occasionally another will emerge from stalk.

Culture
: sun to part sun. Well drained, moist, rich soil. Prolific seeder. Nearly 100% of seeds are viable. Sow them in desired locations in late autumn to avoid having to thin or divide seedlings.
