Flowers
: green, nodding, saucer or bell-shaped blossoms. Sepals acts as petals. Petals reduced to nectaries.

Foliage: palmate leaves with toothed margins. Subspecies hercegovinus has compoundly divided leaves. Subspecies istriacus has yellow flowers.

Culture
: part sun to deciduous shade in well drained soil. Prefers alkaline but will flourish in any organic soil.
