: onion-like stalks burst to reveal buds. Small blue flowers crowded into umbel.

Foliage: strap-like basal leaves.

Culture
: full sun to part sun in well drained soil. Drought tolerant. Where hardy it will increase steadily. In cold climates grow in large pots and overwinter indoors.
